If the PCB's inherent weight is not sufficient to hold it on the coating carrier, or if there are worries that it might pop out at the top while being handled, the Z-fixing offers the solution to tackle this problem. The flex holder is used to position the Z-fixing against the PCB edge. It uses the PCB's contour to hold it in the coating plane. However, the contour still enables the removal and/or insertion of the PCB without the need to remove the Z-fixing for each placement process.
